Under separate agreements with the Delaware, Grant & Madison County Courts in our east division and Cass, Fulton, Howard, Tipton & Miami County Courts in our west division, the Guardian Advocates VASIA multi-county adjacent programs were awarded state matching VASIA grants by the Adult Guardianship Office of the Indiana Supreme Court. For each person we serve as guardian, a volunteer advocate is assigned to be the eyes, ears, hands, & feet to help the person. We have public education events and online resources to teach about guardianships, alternatives like power of attorney and advance directives, and caregiving of seniors and adults with disabilities, special needs, IDD, ID, and DD.
“Adult Guardianship in Indiana” covers the following topics: What is Adult Guardianship, Types of Guardianship, The Guardianship Process, Who Should be a Guardian, Requirements for Guardianship, Duties of a Guardian, Types of Guardianship, and Ending a Guardianship. Presented by the St. Joseph County Guardianship Consortium. Funding provided by the Indiana Adult Guardianship Services Project.
